Having handled many different types of plaintiff and defense cases over the years, Chris’ practice involves pre-litigation counseling, litigation and trial work, and appellate advocacy in employment, business, tort, personal injury, malpractice and civil rights matters.
A graduate of Atlanta’s Westminster School, Chris obtained his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1989 and his J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1992.
Chris Moorman began practicing law in 1992 with the Atlanta insurance defense litigation firm Webb, Carlock, Copeland, Semler & Stair. Chris’ work in the areas of personal injury and professional liability continued at James L. Ford, P.C., where Chris also handled employment and civil rights matters. In 1998, Chris opened his own practice, The Law Office of Christopher G. Moorman, where he remained until 2008 when he formed Moorman Pieschel, LLC with his longtime friend and colleague, Nick Pieschel.
Throughout his career, Chris has been involved with the Atlanta Bar Association, The Lawyers’ Club of Atlanta, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court (past Barrister). He has been a featured speaker at seminars hosted by the Georgia State Bar, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Evidence Photographers International Counsel and well as written articles on various litigation topics for publication.
As active members of the community, Chris and his wife Debby are actively involved with Atlanta’s Trinity School, where their children attend. Chris has also worked with local high schools in the Metro Atlanta Regional High School Mock Trial Competition.
A life-long competitive athlete, Chris has completed an Ironman triathlon, the Alcatraz swim, and other endurance events.
